Ambit Energy recently announced it is expanding service in Ohio and Indiana this spring.
The company is coming up on its 10-year anniversary this summer. Ambit began offering service in Ohio in October 2015, and neighboring state Indiana will be the company’s 16th state. The first service territory will be the Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO – Gas) beginning Feb. 26 for residential and small commercial. This includes a potential 821,000 customers located in the northern third of the state.
For Ohio, Ambit is expanding into three new territories that include residential and commercial. The Columbia Gas of Ohio territory services the majority of Ohio with a potential 1.4 million customers. Ambit Energy will also offer service in the Duke Energy Ohio territory for electric and natural gas, serving most of southwestern Ohio.
Finally, large commercial customers can now choose Ambit in the ComEd territory of Illinois—one of Ambit’s oldest states. ComEd provides electricity to most of the northern region of the state. This will begin in the second quarter of 2015.
Ambit Energy continues to be one of the fastest-growing retail energy providers in the country, and is the largest direct seller of energy in the world. For more information about Ambit and service territories, visit joinambitiousenergy.com.
