Ambit Energy’s annual revenue in 2014 hit the $1.5 billion mark, and the three-year growth rate, which the rankings are based on, was at 128 percent. The company also grew by more than $250 million in 2014 alone. In 2010, Ambit was ranked No. 1 on the Inc. 500 list as the fastest-growing private company in America.

Ambit Energy is headquartered in Dallas and offers electricity and/or natural gas service in 14 states plus Washington D.C. During the three-year period of 2011-2014 in which the ranking was measured, Ambit added more than 370 employees, which accounts for about 64 percent of its corporate workforce. More than 350,000 independent consultants have gathered more than 1.3 million customers for the company.
Ambit Energy recently celebrated nine years in business and is currently the largest direct seller of energy in the world. The company was ranked as the 12-largest direct sales company in the world by Direct Selling News in the summer of 2015.
