Ambit Energy Discontinuing Travel Rewards Program

Ambit Energy announced in late 2017 that the company will discontinue its Travel Rewards program. Travel Rewards points will stop accumulating Feb. 28, 2018. Points must be redeemed (three trips maximum) and travel completed by Dec. 31, 2018. So, existing Ambit customers can still redeem accumulated points and redeem them with travel completed in 2018. Customers can track their rewards points in their online customer account. They can also call Ambit customer support at 877-282-6248. Reviewing Ambit Energy Texas Free & Clear Nights Plan

Ambit Energy recently launched three new residential electricity plans in Texas. One is the Free & Clear Nights 12. This new plan features 100% wind energy, so if renewable energy is important to you, this is definitely a plan to consider. The free nights plan is not yet (as of October 2017) available in all Texas delivery territories. So, how do the free nights work? It’s pretty simple (be sure to scroll down to watch the video). Basically, you are not charged for the energy rate or the local TDU (such as Oncor) delivery charges from the hours of 9:00 p.m. – 5:59 a.m. But you are charged during the hours of 6:00 a.m. – 8:59 p.m. All hours of usage, however, are 100% wind energy. Ambit Energy is Expanding to Canada

Ambit Energy announced this weekend at its annual convention that the Texas-based company will expand into Canada in 2017. Nov. 1 is the date set for the launch of Ambit's third country. The retail electricity and gas provider launched in Japan in the summer of 2017 - the company's first international expansion. Like in Japan, there will be an open enrollment period for Ambit Founding Consultants in Canada to enroll for $0 until Jan. 12, 2018. Alberta, Canada, will be the first service territory. Ambit Energy will offer electricity to residential and small commercial to a potential 224,000 customers in the ATCO Electric service territory. The single-biggest market prelaunch in Ambit Energy’s history begins today. Japan will officially be open for prelaunch beginning at 7:00 a.m. JST on May 24 (that’s Japan time). That’s 5:00 p.m. on May 23 CT in the U.S. The Live Launch will be July 24.
