Texas is Ambit Energy's oldest market, launching service in the Lone Star State in 2006. Since then Ambit has earned a little more than a 3 percent market share, as of early 2013. In Texas, Ambit handles the sale and billing, so Texas customers get their bills from Ambit. Determining current electricity rates in Texas is pretty simple and straight forward. Rates can be reviewed at any Ambit Energy consultant's customer website, such as this one: After you enter your zip code and select "residential customer" or "commercial customer" you can select from the available rates and plans in your area. There are 12-month, 6-month, 24-month, variable and even green energy plans available. The current rates will be shown for each plan. Ambit Energy Announces Double/Triple Bonus Through February 22

More than 15,000 Ambit Energy consultants attended AmbitCast 2013, held in 10 different cities across the country. The event was simulcast in each location, making it the biggest AmbitCast yet. During the even it was announced a Double/Triple Bonus promotion from Jan. 26 through Feb. 22. The promotion is called The Big Bank Theory. Consultants can receive a 300% matching bonus when any new MC enrolls four Texas customers in their first 28 days in the business. The new MC can also receive the same bonus. Regional Consultants, for example, can earn $465 in matching bonuses when they sponsor a new consultant and help that new consultant get their first four Texas customers in their first 28 days. A Double Bonus is paid on customers outside of Texas.
