Ambit Energy Maryland Service Areas, Rates & Plans

Ambit Energy Maryland Service Areas

Maryland was the fourth state in Ambit Energy’s expansion. Ambit launched in Maryland offering service in the BGE Electric territory. Natural gas service was offed in spring 2012. Then, Ambit expanded into the PEPCO service area with electricity service. However, this does not include the District of Columbia. Ambit customers in Maryland continue to get their bill from their supply company, but Ambit will be listed on the bill as the retail energy provider. Nothing else changes for the customer. Here are the current Maryland territories that Maryland services:

BGE provides electricity and gas to a 2,300-square-mile area that includes Baltimore and central Maryland
Pepco provides electricity throughout Montgomery and Prince George’s counties
